Singing by numbers

Do you sing to yourself? I don't sing in the shower, but lately I sing in the pool. The "singing" one does while swimming is obviously more in your head than actual singing. I have been trying to think of songs with numbers in them to help me count laps. Here are some of the songs I sing during my long, slow swims:

1. "One" by U2
2. "Two Hearts Beat as One" by U2
3. "ABC" by The Jackson 5 ("ABC, easy as 123')
4. "Friend is a Four Letter Word" by Cake
7. "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes
8. "Eight Days a Week" by The Beatles
9. I try NOT to think of "Revolution 9" by the Beatles. That song scares me a little - not a good feeling to have in the pool.
16. "16 Saltines" by Jack White
17. "I Saw Her Standing There" by The Beatles ("She was just 17....")
18. "I'm 18" by Alice Cooper
21. "21 Guns" by Green Day
25. "25th Floor" by Patti Smith

There are a lot of gaps in my set list. If you think of any songs with numbers in the title or as a prominent part of the lyrics, please comment and I will add them to my "repertoire."

  1. Hi Sandy, you should check out "15 to 20" by the Phenomenal Handclap Band! It's super catchy, and the chorus counts by 5s.

  2. I know you already have 18, but 18 Wheels on a Big Rig by Trout Fishing in America is a great counting song (including Roman numerals no less).

  3. How about.. 867-5309? :)
